Zachary Hinds is currently an independent contractor, working primarily in E-Commerce. He graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Professional Writing. In 2022, he graduated from University of Chicago with a Master of Arts in Sociology.
Since he was very young, Zachary has loved books and reading. Some of his earliest memories are late nights spent listening to his father read to him, and since he could read he has never stopped reading. He has always loved to explore the fantastical worlds presented in books be they vast science fiction empires or magical kingdoms. When he was not reading, he was inventing his own imaginary worlds of superheroes, wizards, and adventure.
Although he spent so much of his childhood immersed in fantasy worlds, be they books or imaginary ones of his own creation, it was not until later when he was in high school that Zachary embraced his love of literature and dedicated himself to pursuing writing. This was spurred both by a newfound appreciation for writing and discovering an intense love for tabletop role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons. He has since written a plethora of short stories as well as even more adventures in those role-playing games
Zachary received his Master of Arts in Sociology after completing their thesis studying online hate by using machine learning, topic modeling, and network analysis. He currently works in E-Commerce and hopes to continue his professional growth and integrate the knowledge he learned in UChicago’s Master’s program.
