Zachary Hinds is currently a junior at Kennesaw State University. He was born and raised in Alpharetta Georgia, and graduated from Milton High School in 2016.
Since he was very young, Zachary has loved books and reading. Some of his earliest memories are late nights spent listening to his father read to him, and since he could read he has never stopped reading. He has always loved to explore the fantastical worlds presented in books be they vast science fiction empires or magical kingdoms. When he was not reading, he was inventing his own imaginary worlds of superheros, wizards, and adventure.
Although he spent so much of his childhood immersed in fantasy worlds, be they books or imaginary ones of his own creation, it was not until later when he was in high school that Zachary embraced his love of literature and dedicated himself to pursuing writing. This was spurred both by a newfound appreciation for writing and discovering an intense love for tabletop role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons. He has since written a plethora of short stories as well as even more adventures in those role-playing games
Presently, Zachary is working on his degree in Sociology, which he hopes to use to conduct social research, with a particular interest in the ways that the internet has changed society and what its lasting impacts will be. At the same time, he is working to develop his fiction writing, with a particular interest in fantasy and speculative fiction. If he had to chose a favorite book, it would be Neuromancer by William Gibson, as Gibson’s style has helped shape Zachary’s own writing style.
